Preserving ancient Vedic knowledge and traditions for future generations

Sri Shanmukha Veda Pathasala students and teachers

Our Story

Sri Sundara Hanuman Shanmukha Veda Vidyalayam was established in 1998 with a vision to preserve and promote the ancient Vedic traditions and knowledge systems that have been passed down through generations for thousands of years.

What began as a small initiative with just 5 students and 2 teachers has now grown into a renowned institution with multiple centers across the country, serving thousands of students and conducting various educational and cultural programs.

Our pathasala is named after Lord Shanmukha (also known as Lord Karthikeya), who is considered the embodiment of wisdom and knowledge in Hindu mythology.

Our Mission

To preserve, promote, and propagate the ancient Vedic knowledge systems through authentic education, research, and cultural activities, making them accessible and relevant to contemporary society.

Our Vision

To be a globally recognized center of excellence for Vedic studies, creating a community of scholars and practitioners who embody and transmit the wisdom of the Vedas to future generations.

Our Leadership

K Lakshmi Narayana

To fulfill the last wish of his ailing father on his deathbed, he spent his entire retirement savings of ₹20 lakhs to construct a Veda Pathashala building, without keeping even a single rupee for himself. Even now, he contributes ₹50,000 from his monthly pension for the maintenance of the Pathashala. He has dedicated his life to the preservation of the Vedas, which are the very foundation of Indian culture. Professionally, he served as a Chemistry lecturer at Sarada College, Vijayawada, for 33 years and retired in 2012.

Dr K Ramakrishna
Chairman

Professionally, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Telugu at K.B.N. College, Vijayawada. By passion, he is a writer and a literary scholar. He holds unwavering respect for Indian culture and traditions. With deep reverence for Vedic knowledge, he now leads the institution as the Chairman of the Vedic school established by his father, Sri K. Lakshmi Narayana. Under his leadership, the Pathashala has grown into one of the most respected institutions in the coastal districts, upholding the highest standards of Vedic learning.

K Janaki Rama Sarma
Principal

A Vedic scholar with deep knowledge of Sanskrit literature, he has chosen a life rooted in simplicity and purpose. Though capable of earning lakhs through his academic expertise, he instead dedicated himself to the continuation of Vedic culture and education.
